PhotoCraft for Windows: MSI Installer & Portable Download

Download official PhotoCraft v0.12.0 Windows MSI or portable ZIP for x64, ARM64 or x86. Check the file, install or unzip it, and update without losing your work.

Choose a Windows installer or portable ZIP

The official PhotoCraft v0.12.0 release offers MSI installers and portable ZIP archives. Check your Windows system's processor architecture before choosing: x64 is for 64-bit Intel/AMD PCs, ARM64 is for Windows on Arm, and x86 is the 32-bit build. The links were checked on 2026-10-22 and go to the upstream GitHub release, not a mirror.

Use the release notes and the matching SHA256 list for these files. PhotoCraft and ArtCraft Launcher are separate downloads; the main download guide explains the distinction.

Install the MSI or start the portable app

For the installer, open the MSI for your architecture and follow its prompts. Check publisher and signature information rather than assuming every release has the same status. For PhotoCraft portable, extract the complete ZIP into a writable folder and run the application from that folder. Keep its accompanying files together; do not launch it from the archive viewer or copy only the executable elsewhere.

A portable archive avoids the MSI installation flow. It does not mean the app is sandboxed, writes nothing to your device or has been verified on every Windows configuration. If Windows shows a security warning, inspect the source and signature before continuing; this guide does not ask you to turn off system protections.

Verify the downloaded file

In PowerShell, run Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 -Path "C:\Downloads\your-file", replacing the path with your actual download. Compare the result with the entry for the exact filename in the release's checksum list. A checksum match checks integrity, not a security certification. See the safety guide for file provenance and privacy.

How to update a Windows copy

Save your documents and exit PhotoCraft. For an MSI installation, get the newer package for the same architecture and follow that release's instructions. For a portable copy, extract the newer ZIP into a separate folder, keep your documents backed up and test the new app on a copy before discarding the old folder. Do not replace files while the app is running or assume settings transfer automatically.

If you installed PhotoCraft through ArtCraft Launcher, use the launcher's documented app update flow instead. The update guide separates installer, portable and launcher updates from the pinned browser editor.

Your first edit on Windows

Open a copy of a PNG or JPEG, make a small visible edit, export a PNG and reopen it. Keep original PSDs separate until you have checked the features your documents use. Follow how to use PhotoCraft for the first editing steps. If you prefer not to install, the browser editor works without a PhotoCraft account; it remains v0.12.0, independently of these desktop downloads.

Confirm the architecture on your own PC

Open Windows system information and check the system type before selecting an asset. A Windows-on-Arm device is not the same architecture as a conventional Intel or AMD machine, and an architecture name is not a minimum operating-system guarantee. Use the release's actual requirements for the version you selected. These instructions describe a verification process; they are not a claim that we installed every package on physical Windows devices.

Keep the full filename and product name visible when choosing a download. An MSI is an installer package, while the portable ZIP is an archive you extract. The Mac universal DMG for ArtCraft Launcher is neither of those Windows options. If you arrived through a search engine, return to the identified upstream repository before accepting any replacement download offered by a third-party page.

Inspect signatures without bypassing warnings

You can inspect a downloaded file's Properties and any available digital-signature information before installation. In PowerShell, Get-AuthenticodeSignature reports signing information for a supported file; an unsigned result is a fact to investigate, not permission to disable protection. Compare the publisher information with the release's own documentation and the repository you intended to use.

An integrity checksum and a signature answer different questions. The former checks agreement with published bytes, while the latter can provide information about the signer and whether signed content has changed. Neither replaces reading the release notes or testing output. If Windows blocks the file, record the exact message and consult upstream rather than following a generic instruction to turn off SmartScreen or antivirus.

Uninstall, roll back and verify documents

For an MSI-managed installation, use Windows' normal installed-apps interface to remove it. For a portable copy, exit the application and retain backups before removing the extracted application folder. Portable distribution does not prove that every preference or cache is stored inside that folder. Do not delete unfamiliar user-data directories as a shortcut to troubleshooting.

If an update fails your acceptance check, preserve the failing example and your previous verified documents. An older app may not interpret a file newly saved by a newer app in exactly the same way. Rollback therefore means checking a copy with the previous application, not assuming that swapping executables reverses document changes. Keep a reference PNG with any editable file you need to compare.

A useful Windows support report

Record the Windows version, architecture, package filename, install route, signature result and the exact operation that failed. Say whether the issue occurs at installation, launch, file opening or export. A minimal synthetic input is better than a confidential design for a public report. The community guide separates upstream application issues from a broken link or incorrect instruction on this website.

When deciding whether the package meets your needs, finish a small import, visible edit, export and reopen before using it for important work. The browser review covers the pinned web environment only. Do not present that result as a native Windows compatibility test, and do not remove your previous working tool before the new workflow has passed its own checks.
