About photocraft.tools

Meet the independent maintainer and understand the purpose of this PhotoCraft resource site.

Who maintains this website

photocraft.tools is an independently maintained resource site. The public maintainer name is “photocraft.tools maintainer,” and the website contact address is hi@photocraft.tools. The maintainer is responsible for this website's hosting, original guides, published test material and corrections. This page does not claim that a separate editorial team or company develops the upstream editor.

The site is intended for people who want to try a local browser image edit, understand PhotoCraft's capabilities and limits, or find the correct upstream project and download. We aim to explain a complete task rather than send visitors through a series of similarly named download pages.

Our relationship with PhotoCraft and ArtCraft

The upstream contributors develop PhotoCraft. We host the unmodified v0.12.0 WebAssembly release and retain its provenance, MIT and Apache-2.0 license files, notices and attribution. The browser editor is an upstream application inside this website; the surrounding navigation, explanatory guides and test evidence are our responsibility.

This website is not operated by or endorsed by ArtCraft or Adobe. PhotoCraft and related project names identify the software being discussed. Photoshop and Adobe are Adobe trademarks. The source and release links are provided to help visitors verify origin, not to imply that this is an official project website. See the source and licenses guide for the exact hosted artifacts.

What we contribute

Our own material focuses on reproducible browser workflows: importing a known image, making a visible edit, checking an exported PNG and saving and reopening a small PSD. We publish synthetic samples so readers can repeat the exercise without using personal images. Guides also explain saving, renderer troubleshooting, download verification and the limits of what has actually been tested.

The PSD guide distinguishes the small published round trip from complex document compatibility. We do not present upstream feature descriptions as our own measurements. Where a platform or destination application has not been tested, the guide should say so. A screenshot of a working interface is not treated as proof of all editing features.

How content is produced and corrected

We use upstream documentation, source and release records alongside our own browser checks. AI tools and automated translation may assist drafting and localization. They are not evidence that a feature works. The editorial policy explains source attribution, evidence labels, updates and corrections. The website changelog records substantive site changes separately from the upstream software version.

If you find a factual error, an inaccessible page or a misleading description, email the maintainer with the page URL and relevant detail. Please do not send confidential images. Software defects may need an upstream issue; website copy, hosting and privacy questions belong with this site's maintainer.

Local processing and support boundaries

The hosted editor opens and processes image bytes in the browser. This site does not provide registration, cloud document storage, paid subscriptions or an image-upload endpoint. Ordinary page requests still reach the hosting provider, and GA4 and self-hosted Plausible load directly to measure website visits. The privacy policy explains those separate activities.

The pinned release remains early alpha and has no browser autosave or crash recovery. We cannot restore an unsaved document from a server copy. Keep originals and check exported results before relying on them. For help choosing a task to try, start with the learning guide; for feedback or rights requests, use Contact.
